A sustainability and ecology driven multifamily development proposed adjacent to a Critical Water Quality Zone.

Set within a designated Opportunity Zone just south of downtown Austin, Metcalfe is being developed as a taste of the Hill Country within the city's urban core. The site presents considerable challenges, with Critical Environmental Features and a Critical Water Quality Zone limiting development across much of it. In response, the development takes cues from Hill Country ranch-style homes to create units that respond to the particular features and opportunities of the site.

A total of 16 units are proposed, with a private road along the north end. The southern half gives way to a lush wetland ecosystem — rain gardens, groves, and a restored riparian edge — creating a site amenity developed in coordination with City of Austin environmental efforts.
