Annealed stainless steel sculpture conceived as a tectonic study of the large migratory fish of the Gulf Coast.
Tarpon is a suspended sculpture sited at Houston Methodist, conceived as a tectonic study of the Texas coast and its estuary system. The body is built from flat, CNC-milled stainless panels — each one a scale — overlapping across a single continuous form, with the head and tail resolving into smooth unbroken surfaces. Annealed to a range of estuary hues, the panels read silver, gold, and bronze in turn as daylight crosses them from the large skylights above.
